This is my recipe for Chilli Con Carne. This dish is easy to cook and a perfect family meal. Calories are low and protein is high in this recipe so helps you stay on track with your daily intake.

Protein per portion= 39 grams
Lean beef mince (5% fat)
Chilli con Carne mix
1 tin Chick Peas
1 tin Red Kidney Beans
1 tin Black Beans
1 tin Chopped Tomatoes
Brown Rice (can substitute for plain tortilla chips)
Step 1: Cook the mince in a pan on low heat on the hob.
Step 2: when the mince is cooked add it to a pot with Tinned Tomatoes, Kidney beans, Black beans and Chickpeas .
Step 3: Add chilli con carne mix to 150ml of water and add to pot
Step 4: Mix all the ingredients together and cook on low heat.
Step 5: Add Rice into separate pot with a little bit of salt and cover with boiling water. Cover with lid and leave to simmer on very low heat for 12-14 mins.
Step 6: Drain the rice and dish up into bowl and enjoy!
